We are now looking for a
PR Manager for a 10-month Maternity Cover, based in either Stockholm, Oslo or
Copenhagen. The PR Manager will be responsible for the implementation of all PR
activities related to the hotels in Northern Europe and will work closely with
the Area Director Marketing Northern Europe and the different stakeholders
within the PR and Corporate Communications-team at Radisson Hotel Group’s
headquarter in Brussels, including the company’s PR agencies in local markets.
As part of the position, there will be a
significant amount of time in an office setting, developing and implementing PR
activities both for local and international media, designing texts and
materials, creating media stories and follow up on PR activities. The PR
Manager will be responsible for implementing PR initiatives locally, created by
the Corporate Support Office (CSO) in Brussels and will also be responsible for
supporting the hotels in Northern Europe with relevant PR events, press trips
and influencer collaborations.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for PR & Communication activities on area
level in Northern Europe (Nordics & Baltics)
- Responsible for creating and implementing the PR & Communication
activities for specific hotels in the area
- Responsible for implementing and distributing press material from CSO,
such as press releases in the Northern Europe market (in collaboration with PR
agency)
- Copy writing of press releases, media pitches, presentations, Q/As and
other content to be used internally and externally in the media, online
channels and websites
- Support with media relations, pitching news stories, set-up interviews
and help arrange PR-events for area stakeholders and hotels in the area
- Continue strong relationships with journalists and influencers and
arranging their stays & travels
- Support with media monitoring and reporting (through Meltwater
monitoring system)
- Source and enter into awards, rankings and competitions for
Communication & PR
- Coach employees to be responsible citizens and ambassadors on social
media and traditional media
- Support with Crisis communication handling on ad hoc basis, in
collaboration with CSO team and local PR agency
- Reporting: Weekly status calls with manager,
bi-weekly update calls with CSO team, monthly activity/result reporting as per
template.
- Support with ensuring that communication material and texts are aligned
with company’s brand identity
- Provide administrative support to the CSO PR team – purchase orders,
reporting, media information etc.
Key
Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications & PR (or similar) and/or
experience with PR & Communications work
- Good copywriting skills and communicates clearly and effectively in
both English and a Scandinavian language
- Possesses knowledge of effective communications and PR strategies
- Experience in communication with bloggers, influencers and journalists
- Good creative skills (in text development, content development, PR- and
campaign development)
- Good understanding of social media – channels, content strategy,
campaigns, and monitoring
- Good skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Analytics
- Highly organized and planning abilities – Ability to manage time
efficiently
- Detail oriented and deadline-sensitive
- Exhibits knowledge of company identity, mission, and goals and ability
to conduct independent research into target market and competitors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to
align with company/department initiatives
