The position supports Radisson Hotel Group's Hotel and Corporate operations, primarily in the Europe region, and globally for certain projects and/or corporate departments. Responsibilities include independently overseeing contracts and legal matters related to RHG’s hotels, providing corporate support to central departments (i.e. commercial, procurement, technical, etc.) and for queries related to our hotels in operation in the region and such as per company policies, all ensuring compliance with global standards, coordinating with international legal teams, and offering strategic legal advice to achieve RGH’s global goals. 



Roles/Responsibilities 

1. Independently prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and provide guidance on agreements, notices, letters, and related documents at the corporate, regional and hotel levels where suitable and ensure that all contracts comply with the company’s policies and standards, reporting any significant deviations to the Radisson Hotel Group, legal leadership for approval and oversee the contract repository to guarantee the uploading, updating, and maintenance of contractual details, amendments, owner/licensee information, and track contract statuses, including construction milestones and expiration dates. 

2. Independently assist the Europe regional teams in offering advice, collaborating, and executing various projects to guide, structure, and support the operational and commercial teams at the regional and central level and advise and assist on initiatives of other departments whilst ensuring alignment with the company’s standards and policies. Examples are support in debt recovery process (in coordination with Operations Team and Finance), preparing and issuing legal/breach notices according to the agreed approach, and assist Operations in reaching settlements with owners. 

3. Conduct legal research and where relevant, seek and evaluate legal advice from local attorneys who are specialists in relevant industries or fields and manage external counsel when required, especially concerning potential disputes, tax, and other operational issues. 

4. Help to develop, implement and maintain legal policies, procedures, and best practices while ensuring these are understood and adhered to by relevant departments and be an active participant in the legal transformation efforts. 

5. Support with corporate matters for subsidiaries, including establishing or liquidating local entities/branches, coordinating board and shareholders’ meetings, drafting resolutions/POAs if necessary, and assuring statutory compliance and filings with relevant company requirements and local laws. 

6. Coordinate with the RHG Legal department globally as needed, particularly regarding regulatory compliance matters such as Privacy, Competition law, International Trade regulations, trademark rights/registration administration, etc... 

7. Additional support may be required based on the company’s needs. 


Competencies and skills requirements: 

  • Strong Contracting Skills  

  • The ability to analyse complex realities and translate them into legal solutions 

  • Fluency in English language, Knowledge of another language/s (French, Spanish, German) is an asset 

  • You are digitally savvy 

  • You dare to challenge the status quo and feel the need to improve yourself and everything around you... again and again 

  • You are proactive and like to work both independently and as part of a team and can manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, adapting quickly in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment.  

  • You are hardworking, detail oriented, organized and can take the lead to independently manage the tasks as well as coordinate with other departments 

  • You love an up tempo dynamic, a vast amount of challenges and diversity in people.


Job requirements and qualifications: 

Minimum education: Master of laws from a reputable university.  

Minimum experience: Solid and relevant experience in the Legal Department of a major international company, that allow  

you to grasp a complex multinational corporate operation and work independently 

Language skills: Very good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of (French, Spanish, German) is a plus.

Experience: Preferably 2 years, but your attitude is our main driver!
