Job description

The Business Analyst will elaborate together with the Senior Strategic Consultant Sales Strategy and Area Directors of Sales the Account planning and Financial planning across EMEA Sales organization. The Business Analyst will elaborate periodic reports that enable key stakeholders to take actions and prevent undesired results. He/she will also be responsible for monitoring Sales performance and develop specific tracking tools with Revenue Generation teams.

 

Additional responsibilities include development and maintenance of performance related projects as revision of the new incentive plan for the Sales team.

 

The Business Analyst must be characterized by being data-driven and having strong analytical skills that ensure complete ability to design and monitor accounting and financial plans and to generate insightful reports to higher audiences.

 

 

Position Summary:

 

Directing Activities 10%

 

·         Drive sales performance measurement and ensure technological tools and oversee general reporting.

·         Ensure proper coordination with relevant internal teams (i.e. Finance, Revenue Generation).

·         Identifying best practices and cascading them down to all team members to ensure the materialization of such strategy.

 

Planning Activities 30%

 

·         Implement analytical skills to extract insightful reports to be shared with the higher management.

·         Closely work with RevGen teams to develop appropriate reporting to be used across all EMEA Sales teams.

·         Elaborate ad-hoc business plans on EMEA Sales related business cases in coordination with Finance.

·         Develop and plan a Sales incentive plan to promote cross-selling and up-selling in different teams.

·         Ensure that measurement systems are available, actionable, and robust, to track accurately the production of all targeted EMEA global accounts across all theatres as far typical business and cross-selling and up-selling efforts.

 

Supervising Activities 25%

 

·         Review and scrutinize the business performance, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance, including working with internal and external partners on adhoc projects.

·         Oversee the data and KPIs related to account management across regions to secure homogeneity.

·         Identify potential need for technological development and definition of business requirements to then be development from IT.

·         Coordinate the Area Directors of Sales to conduct the account planning and financial planning.

·         Coordinate the generation of the report for the five-year-plan’s reviews.

 

 

Professional Management Activities 35%

 

·         Oversee the general reporting both in EMEA and in geographical areas

·         Understand available tools to set targets and monitor performance.

·         Define measurement of reports paired with ensuring the effective and efficient usage of technological tools and

·         Have an EMEA vision on the total portfolio to be able to set strategically the accounts to be managed in the different Areas.

·         Ensure tracking both production and potential through the proper use of performance management tools.

·         Address performance issues in a supportive, timely and decisive manner.

·         Elaborate the necessary information for the given consolidations/reviews.

 

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

 

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable supervision:

 

Educational skills required: University degree at bachelor level or equivalent or experience in lieu thereof.

 

Professional experience: significant work experience in Sales roles or similar (i.e. Business Development).

 

Language skills: outstanding command of written and spoken English.

 

Leading Skills required:

 

  • Result-oriented.
  • Highly analytical and with an eye for detail.
  • Analytical capability to treat financial data and be able to make strategic and tactical decisions (i.e. target setting, performance management, business case for new initiatives).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to address any issue in collaboration with others, identify and prevent potential problems and develop problem-solving skills in others.
  • Budget and management skills.
  • Ability to deliver performance feedback to the team members.
  • Ability to present reports to higher audiences.
  • Facility to enhance collaboration among cross-functional teams including with other divisions of the organization (i.e. Finance and Revenue Generation).
  • Ethical behavior and absolute discretion with sensitive information around clients and internal decisions.
  • Understanding of opportunities facing a complex internal and external environment.
  • Ability to simplify complex problematic to provide focus and offer alternative solutions.
  • Knowledge on the tourism sector would be a plus (both at a global level and at an area-specific level), accounts evolving needs and preferences, other industries potential, competitive environment and strategic approach to address the new reality.
  • Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings.
