Radisson Hotel Group is obsessed with execution, we have an opportunity to make a difference for our team members and our stakeholders. The HR Advisor is a true generalist and collaboratively works with a team of field-based HR Business Partners, whilst taking accountability for the management and delivery of all transactional HR day-to-day queries, processes and procedures for our UK Hotels and Area Support Office.

The role reports directly into the Senior HR Business Partner for the UK and is based from our Area Support Office located within our Radisson Blu Manchester Airport Hotel.

The HR Advisor supports the achievement of business and people objectives within the Area, by providing a customer focused service and assists our People Managers and team members with professional, commercial and pragmatic HR advice and support.

This will be a demanding, hands-on role and you will be fully responsible for providing operational functional support to drive the HR agenda. You must be organised, have strong attention to detail and excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. You will be dealing with a variety of transactional HR tasks within the Employee Lifecycle, ranging from Employee Relation and day-to-day queries and associated administration to driving the overall HR initiatives in conjunction with the HR Business Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for all Employee Relation queries and effectively triage/manage the risk of all cases ensuring that all Employee Relation cases are logged and effective follow-up action is taken in a timely manner
• Coach, support, mentor and challenge People Managers in the application of HR policies and practices
• Be the expert for all systems directly relating to and affecting HR ways of working [Workday/ EPS/ Harri/ People Search] and liaise directly with our system providers to ensure that all systems continually meet the needs of the business and that future system releases are completed, where identified
• Work with the Senior HRBP, Talent Acquisition Manager and L&D Manager to produce monthly reporting on HR KPIs for distribution to Senior Area Leadership Team
• Ensure that all operational administration is produced to a high quality and within a timely manner, including (but not limited to); contract amendments, maternity, paternity, right to work checks, company anniversary reminders, national minimum/ living wage compliance
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and ensure all candidates in the onboarding stage are processed in a timely manner. Follow up with candidates directly where necessary and ensure that all onboarding documentation is checked in accordance with local legislation and processes
• Coordinate and administer the learning and development initiatives for new starters in line with the L&D strategy
• Continually reviews HR Ways of Working processes to ensure they meet the needs of the business and makes suggestions for improvements, where necessary
• Act as the Area ambassador for the Internal HR Intranet Site. Continually reviews its content and liaise directly with the Area HR specialisms to ensure all content is up-to-date, relevant and accessible to our People Manager
• Perform and support with ad-hoc HR administration to meet the needs of Area, as directed by Senior HRBP and/or Area HR Director.

You have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A solid understanding of UK employment law, employee relations and legislation
• Knowledge of one or more HRIS systems; Workday experience is a distinct advantage
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude with the courage to challenge others where necessary
• A flair for building relationships, attentive and can strike a rapport with people enabling you to influence at all levels
• The ability to work independently
