We are now searching for a Cluster IT Manager covering assigned hotels and Area Support Offices in Oslo/Norway. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be a part of a great IT team in Scandinavia. The position is based in Oslo and the role does not have any direct reports.

If you are the hands-on type who enjoys working on projects as well implementing and maintaining different systems, then this role is for you!

About the role:
The Cluster IT Manager is responsible for the operation of all IT and Communication systems in the assigned hotels and Area Support Office in Oslo. 

The IT function is considered a support function to the primary operation of the company. It is therefore important that the Cluster IT Manager views his/her position in that light and acts as a service function within the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of established Hotel IT Activities to ensure smooth operation of our hotels 
  • Systems administration and operation, including ensuring compliance with Corporate IT policies, ensuring daily operation, periodic preventive maintenance
  • Overview and Management of User IT Support ; working with External Partners to ensure quality of all levels of service
  • User accounts maintenance
  • Project management
  • License management
  • Planning and budgeting for long range investments and management consulting
  • Maintain security and overall compliance, including for data-processing and PCI-DSS standards
  • Documentation
  • Change Management.    


Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Minimum 3 years experience from similar positions, such as IT management and people management
  • Ability to develop working relationships very quickly and gain confidence of business colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written in a Scandinavian language and English.
  • Excellent forward planning and organization skills
  • Experience of influencing and coaching people
  • Experience of setting and achieving targets and producing work of high quality to agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Able to hold a presentation to a smaller audience, such as the management group, employee groups etc.
  • Hospitality, travel or service related industries is a plus
  • Ability to travel throughout our hotels in Oslo and throughout Scandinavia is a must
  • Work permit to work in a Scandinavian country is essential   


Knowledge of: 

  • IT Infrastructure management (on-premise, cloud, network switches, firewalls etc.) 
  • Windows Server management (Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / GPO, etc.) and Windows OS support. 
  • Office 365.
  • Hardware (Server / Workstations / POS etc.) lifecycle management. 
  • Hospitality IT systems is a plus. 
  • IT security standards, SOP implementation.
  • Customer/User Support, including experience with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow). 
  • IT Suppliers relationship management. 
  • PCI, GDPR
  • Project Management skills – ideally experience with managing and coordinating projects across several business units, departments and countries
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with clients, key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
