As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the hotel's financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting the Finance Team in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial data.
Your Role & ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly financial statements in accordance with RHG and local accounting standards.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Assist in preparing audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Ensure compliance with RHG finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support accurate tax reporting (VAT, WHT, etc.) and statutory filings as per local regulations.
Monitor and enforce financial policies related to assets, liabilities, and expenses.
Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Work closely with other departments to clarify financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Support and guide other finance functions, such as Accounts Payable, Income Audit, and Cost Control.
Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc reports and projects.
Help train junior finance staff and promote financial awareness across departments.
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and standards (IFRS or local GAAP).
Proficiency with accounting systems (Opera PMS, Sun Systems, Oracle, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Clear, professional communication—written and verbal.
Prior experience in the hospitality industry is a strong advantage.
Month-end closings are completed accurately and on time.
Financial reports are reliable, insightful, and audit-ready.
