Description

The Information Technology Manager oversees the overall IT operations of the organization, ensuring efficient systems, network infrastructure, and data security. The role involves managing IT staff, implementing technology strategies, and providing technical support to all departments.


Key Responsibilities:IT Operations Management:
  • Manage daily IT operations, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Monitor and ensure the smooth functioning of hotel property management systems (PMS), point of sale (POS) systems, and other operational software.
  • Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Network and Systems Management:
  • Oversee network infrastructure to ensure connectivity, security, and reliability.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance of IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Data Security and Compliance:
  • Enforce IT policies to safeguard data integrity and security.
  • Ensure compliance with local and global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Regularly conduct security audits and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership and Support:
  • Lead, train, and mentor the IT team to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to all departments, addressing IT-related queries and issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors and service providers.
Project Management:
  • Identify and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency and guest experience.
  • Oversee IT-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in managing enterprise-level systems and networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of property management systems (e.g., Opera, Micros).
