Our hotel is home to unforgettable high-profile VIP functions, the host to luxury affiliations, leisure and events, stylish private dinners and professional conferences.  We are now seeking a passionate and driven Luxury MICE Sales Manager to join our Commercial Team, reporting to the Commercial Director of Sales and Marketing.

The Luxury MICE Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events). This role supports the commercial strategy by proactively generating business, building strong client and relationships and maximising opportunities across rooms, meetings and food & beverage outlets.

Working closely with the Commercial Director, Revenue, Marketing, and Operations, the Luxury MICE Sales Manager ensures alignment with business objectives, delivering both top-line revenue and profitable growth.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LUXURY MICE SALES MANAGER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

You'll be responsible for driving growth across our Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events (MICE) business, helping position our venues as the go-to destination for unforgettable experiences.

THE ROLE

1. Driving MICE Growth

You'll be at the forefront of growing our MICE business, identifying opportunities, winning new clients, and creating lasting partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering targeted sales plans that drive MICE revenue growth and achieve budgeted targets.
  • Identifying, securing and converting new business opportunities across meetings, conferences, residential events and exclusive-use experiences.
  • Building and nurturing a portfolio of key accounts, agents and local partners who influence and drive MICE business.
  • Raising awareness and demand for our meeting and event spaces through proactive outreach and relationship building.
  • Managing and converting enquiries, RFPs and leads into confirmed business.
  • Conducting site visits, presentations, and commercial negotiations that showcase our venues and secure bookings.
  • Maximising revenue from every event through strategic upselling of F&B, meeting packages, accommodation and additional services.
  • Developing strong relationships with event planners, corporate bookers and agency partners to encourage repeat business.
  • Representing the business at relevant trade shows, networking events and industry showcases to support continued segment growth.

2. Delivering Results

You'll use data, insights and a proactive sales approach to consistently achieve and exceed targets.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering agreed sales targets, KPIs, and revenue objectives.
  • Maintaining accurate sales activity records, forecasts and pipeline management.
  • Monitoring conversion rates and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Providing regular sales updates, market intelligence and business insights to the leadership team.

3. Working as One Team

Success comes through collaboration and you'll work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver exceptional client experiences.

This includes:

  • Partnering with Revenue Management to optimise pricing strategies and maximise total revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborating with Event Planning and Operations teams to ensure flawless event delivery and outstanding guest satisfaction.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

You'll be measured against a number of key performance indicators, including:

  • Growth in MICE revenue.
  • F&B & Group revenue generated through exclusive-use and residential meetings & events business.
  • Conversion rates from enquiries and RFPs.
  • Sales pipeline development and account production.
  • Customer retention, repeat bookings and account growth.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Sales, or a related field (preferred)/Or relevant experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in hotel proactive sales, MICE, or a similar commercial role essential.
  • A proven ability to generate demand and convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Strong knowledge of the local market and competitive landscape.
  • Experience driving F&B sales or event-related revenue is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with international hotel brands (such as Accor) is advantageous.
  • Experience within the luxury hospitality sector is a plus.
