OUR HOTEL 

 

Holiday Inn Express Manchester Airport is ideally located 1.9 miles from the Airport terminals, metro, bus and train stations.   We have comfortable double, twin, accessible and family rooms available, all en-suite with a modern shower room and free WIFI.  Our onsite bar and cafe serves meals and snacks daily, with selected dishes available 24hrs a day.  Wake up in the morning with our included Express Start breakfast, or if you have an early flight, a Grab & Go option is available from 4am.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GUEST SERVICE SUPERVISOR / DUTY MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing..

  • Lead the team on shift with a friendly, proactive vibe, making every guest feel welcome and taken care of from the moment they step in.
  • Keep  operations flowing smoothly, managing everything from busy check-ins to a packed bar and cafe.
  • Be the go-to for team, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards and a positive atmosphere.
  • Tackle guest inquiries, special requests, and occasional challenges with confidence, turning every interaction into a great experience.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to manage room availability and ensure every guest need is met.
  • Be able to work on reception and food & beverage, overseeing and assisting all departemnts on shift.
  • Pitch in with shift planning and scheduling to keep the team fully prepped and ready to roll.
  • Maintain a welcoming and polished hotel on shift, setting the stage for a memorable guest experience.

  • WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

    • A people-person with front desk and F&B experience, with some leadership skills under their belt.
    • Exceptional communication skills and a natural problem-solver, ready to step in when things get busy.
    • Organised and detail-oriented, especially when handling guest queries and payments.
    • Team-focused and collaborative, creating a positive, supportive environment for colleagues and guests alike.
    • Ready to make quick, confident decisions that keep things running smoothly.
    • High energy and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, guest-facing role where every day brings something new.
