We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our growing kitchen team at the Marine Hotel. This is an important role within the kitchen, helping to keep everything clean, organised, and running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll support the chefs with pot wash, cleaning duties, and general kitchen organisation, while being part of a supportive team in a busy hotel environment.  

Located on the Paignton seafront, the Marine Hotel is a 53-bedroom coastal hotel offering a relaxed and welcoming environment for both leisure and group guests. With its prime seaside location and steady year-round trade, the hotel has built a strong reputation for friendly service, comfortable stays, and consistently delivered guest experiences.

What you'll be doing...

• Keep the kitchen running smoothly by cleaning and organising equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Wash and sanitise pots, pans, dishes, and other kitchen tools, making sure everything is ready for the next dish.
• Help with basic food prep tasks, like peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients, to support the chefs during busy shifts.
• Manage waste by disposing of rubbish, recycling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Keep storage areas stocked, organised, and clean, ensuring supplies are easy to find and ready to use.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, helping to keep the kitchen stocked and organised.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards rigorously, contributing to a safe and spotless kitchen.
