A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A  SALES MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing..

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets, focusing on room bookings, events, and corporate accounts
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet individual and team sales objectives, providing guidance and training as necessary
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agents, and event organisers, acting as a primary contact for high-profile accounts
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, partnerships, and proactive outreach, positioning the hotel as a preferred venue in the market
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to track team performance, discuss progress towards goals, and address any challenges
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns and seasonal offers, ensuring effective, cohesive messaging across channels
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with hotel revenue goals
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, inform pricing strategies, and position the hotel competitively within the marketplace
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, analyse key metrics, and provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and local business gatherings to strengthen brand presence and generate new leads.

  • What We Need from You:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales within the hospitality or events sector, with a proven record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships effectively
    • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a sales team to meet ambitious goals
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and persuasive approach
    • In-depth understanding of sales principles and strategies, with experience in strategic planning, forecasting, and performance analysis
    • Proficiency in CRM software (such as Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to generate and analyse sales data
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
    • Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, including evenings and weekends, and attend off-site meetings or events as required
    • A positive, proactive approach with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities in line with hotel objectives
