THE EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

We opened the first 5* Hotel in Liverpool; The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back to life.  Our Heartists® aspire to create memorable, heartfelt moments for all life enjoyers to experience unique stories from the past but also to immerse themselves into our hospitality, creating their own astonishing tales of MGallery magical moments.  We boast 179 stunning bedrooms set in a remarkable and inspiring landmark of the city. Time is of essence and at the heart of The Municipal’s story.  The iconic clock tower and bells giving the tempo to a timeless melody.  Various restaurants, bars and a state-of-the-art spa sanctuary experience, will offer everyone the place to have the time of their lives, pause the clock and embark upon their own magical journey with MGallery.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What you'll be doing...

When you enter our hotel you will be “wowed” and we aspire for our guests to be bowled over too by the memorable visual impact of our rooms and public areas.  The Houskeeping Supervisor works in harmony with the Executive Head Housekeeper and Supervisors to nurture our Housekeeping Heartist® Team.  The ultimate goal is to maintain our 5* atmosphere with care and precision for the finer details and have a strong awareness of time management.  Completing the administrative tasks to keep the Hotel ticking over, with a skill set in planning, preparation and performance.  They take pride in their team and recognise and reward for accomplishments in the Department.  Our Housekeeping team offer personalised touches, have a passion for the finer details and in providing a luxury inner sanctuary for our guests.  This role is contracted to 40 hours per week -varied shifts.

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...

  • A positive can do attitude and the passion to inspire and to offer supportive leadership.
  • To have experience in the role of Housekeeping Supervisor or Team Leader, ideally in a 4* or 5* hotel.
  • To have excellent teamwork and communication skills, establishing strong relationships across all departments.
  • The provision of care and warmth with the team whilst establishing clear expectations and maintaining 5* standards.
  • To excel in planning and the required administration.  Experience in working with procurement systems would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of H&S and COSHH requirements and due diligence with the ability to train others.
  • Prior management and liaison experience with linen companies.
  • The ability to support our Heartist® Housekeepers, and dedication to develop our team.
  • To have experience in proactive people management as a department leader.  To follow policies and procedures.  Prior experience of Fourth People System would be desirable however full training can be given.
