A Day in the Life at Hazel
As our Pastry Chef, you will report to the Executive Head Chef and Chef de Cuisine and responsibilities include:
Preparing and presenting beautifully crafted desserts, pastries, breads, and cakes
Designing and executing seasonal and bespoke afternoon tea items
Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and allergen management
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and waste control
Training and supporting junior members of the kitchen team in pastry techniques
Working closely with the wider team to deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience
What We Need from You!
To thrive as Pastry Chef at Hazel, you should bring:
Proven experience in a pastry chef role within a quality kitchen or hotel setting
A strong knowledge of patisserie techniques and modern dessert presentation
Passion for creating memorable dining moments through your culinary craft
Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
A calm, positive, and collaborative approach, even during busy service
Flexibility to adapt to a changing menu and service styles, including events and afternoon teas
