We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Team Member to join our growing team at the Marine Hotel. This is a varied role where you’ll support service across the restaurant, bar, and breakfast, helping to deliver a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests. You’ll be part of a supportive team in a busy hotel environment, where no two days are the same.  

Located on the Paignton seafront, the Marine Hotel is a 53-bedroom coastal hotel offering a relaxed and welcoming environment for both leisure and group guests. With its prime seaside location and steady year-round trade, the hotel has built a strong reputation for friendly service, comfortable stays, and consistently delivered guest experiences.

What you'll be doing...

• Welcome guests with a warm smile and attentive service, making their experience enjoyable from start to finish.
• Take and process food and drink orders accurately, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Serve food and drinks with care, keeping presentation standards high and timing smooth.
• Set up, clean, and reset tables and service areas, maintaining an inviting and well-organised dining space.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including basic barista duties and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks.
• Keep the dining area stocked by assisting with inventory and restocking supplies.
• Uphold hygiene and health and safety standards, ensuring a spotless and compliant workspace.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless service, supporting each other for a smooth operation

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• A friendly, professional approach with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
• Prior food and beverage service experience is a plus, but we welcome a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues.
• A keen eye for detail, especially in order accuracy and food presentation.
• Team-focused, ready to jump in and support others to keep service flowing.
• Flexibility and energy to thrive in a fast-paced setting, handling peak times with ease.
