The Imperial Blackpool sits in the heart of the town laced in history, boasting 180 bedrooms and 14 meeting spaces, we are looking for a dynamic, revenue and sales professional to step into this brand new role at the iconic Imperial Hotel Blackpool. This fantastic opportunity is an exciting chance to join the senior leadership team at the hotel to collaborate, contribute and commit to the success of this hotel within the RBH portfolio.
Position Purpose & Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager the role is to lead the development, implementation, and execution of our sales office function at The Imperial Hotel Blackpool covering groups, reservations, meeting, events and conferences. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of maximizing all sales and revenue opportunities by yielding the business effectively to achieve budget, experience in managing and developing process within a large sales office, skills in forecasting, working proactively within a reactive office to maximise business opportunity.
Experience
• The employee should be a positive, pro-active, outgoing and energetic individual with a “can do” attitude
• They must have a proven track record in converting Wedding, Conference and Event enquires to confirmed sales.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Reservations, Groups Conference and Events or Sales Management role is required.
An in-depth knowledge of Opera PMS and S&C is essential.
• The candidate must have strong organisational and communication skills with a pride in the attention to detail they take in their work.

Key Responsibilities
• To manage and coordinate a team of 4 in the reservations, meetings and events and group reservations reactive sales team implementing process and support from enquiry stage through to the handover to the operations team.
To ensure that all enquires are responded to in a professionally and timely manner.
• To manage the Sales and Catering function in Opera Cloud, ensuring all events are entered correctly to produce a concise and accurate function sheet for each event.
• To support the team with managing the billing and invoicing process for all bookings including final billing and any adjustments.
• To ensure the daily revenue within the C&B department is captured and charged.
• To host/support the team a weekly operations meeting where all aspects of forthcoming Groups, Conference and Events are discussed in detail with the relevant departments.
• To manage the total engagement and proactivity of the sales office as a whole to support the revenue, sales and operational departments.
• To monitor all enquiries, working closely with the reactive sales team office to ensure the client has received all the information requested and maintain an effective follow up system to secure business within Opera Cloud.
• To ensure all pre-arranged and walk-in show-arounds for all Groups, Conference and Events are conducted and managed in a professional manner.
• To manage and support with the Hotel Reservations team on all block bookings of bedrooms for Conference and Events.
• To liaise with all heads of departments to communicate full departmental coherence.
• To maintain and enhance relationships with existing bookers and to develop relationships with new customers.
• To maintain an effective filing system and Opera Cloud process’s in the office.
• To carry out post event follow up and aftersales telephone calls.
• To complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as per reporting schedule.
• To carry out proactive telesales calls when necessary to ensure budgeted revenue is delivered for the department.
To ensure revenue budget and forecast is met monthly
• To support in showcasing the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, agency visits and national activities.
• To work closely with the remote sales team in driving new business and working with agencies.
• To actively promote the properties and maximise opportunities to sell accommodation and
• Devise, train and engage the hotel team members in strategies to identify sales leads to gain their support and assistance.
• To increase the share and profitability of existing accounts and secure new business across all key market segments.
• Ensure that all customer requests and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement campaigns that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
• Work with the remote sales team to develop the marketing for the M&E department, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired results based on gaps of the business.
