A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONFERENCE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR AT OUR HOTEL 

What you'll be doing..

  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Identify event objectives and requirements (venue, budget, theme, audience, logistics).
  • Coordinate all event logistics — venue selection, catering, audio-visual needs, transportation, and accommodation.
  • Manage registration processes and delegate communication.
  • Manage all aspects of the Meetings & Events Sales Department

  • Maximise meetings & events revenue and profit through reactive and pro-active selling techniques and commercial management techniques.

  • Previous experience with Opera is prefered.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU


  • Strong time management and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • At least 6 months in a similar role 
  • Ability to manage high-end events of all types.
  • A friendly, professional approach with a passion for creating positive guest experiences.
  • Prior conferencing and events experience is a plus, but we welcome a willingness to learn.
  • Clear communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues.
  • A keen eye for detail, especially in order accuracy and food presentation.
  • Team-focused, ready to jump in and support others to keep service flowing.
  • Flexibility and energy to thrive in a fast-paced setting, handling peak times with ease.
