Breakfast Food & Beverage Team Member

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Breakfast Food & Beverage Team Member to join our team across the Mercure Paignton Hotel and ibis Styles Paignton.

You will play an important part in creating a warm and welcoming start to our guests’ day, providing friendly service and ensuring our breakfast areas are prepared, presented and maintained to a high standard.

This role involves early morning starts and weekend working, so you must be able to work flexibly across both hotels.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BREAKFAST FOOD & BEVERAGE TEAM MEMBER AT OUR HOTEL 

What you'll be doing...

• • Preparing the restaurant and breakfast areas before service
  • Welcoming guests and providing friendly, attentive service
  • Taking food and drink orders where required
  • Serving and replenishing breakfast food, drinks and buffet items
  • Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables throughout service
  • Monitoring the breakfast area to ensure it remains clean, organised and well presented
  • Responding to guest questions and requests
  • Following food safety, allergen and health and safety procedures
  • Supporting the kitchen and wider Food & Beverage team when needed
  • Completing cleaning and preparation duties at the end of breakfast service

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

You do not need extensive hotel experience, but you must be reliable, approachable and comfortable working in a busy guest-facing environment.

You will also need:

• Availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
• A warm, friendly and positive approach
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work efficiently as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• The flexibility to work across both the Mercure Paignton and ibis Styles Paignton
• Previous hospitality, restaurant or customer service experience would be an advantage
