AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW – FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

The AC Hotel Glasgow combines heritage architecture, contemporary design and discerning service to create a seamless experience allowing our guests to focus, be present and connect. Our hotel is located next to iconic George Square, offering 245 design-led bedrooms that blend form and function for a modern hospitality experience.

We are now looking for a Front Office Manager to lead our front office operations, delivering outstanding guest service while driving efficiency and team engagement.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

As Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the front desk and guest service areas, leading a team to ensure an exceptional arrival and departure experience. You will oversee daily operations, coach and inspire your team, and collaborate with other departments to uphold the brand’s high standards and support our commercial goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the front office team to deliver a consistently seamless and professional guest experience, from check-in to check-out.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all shifts, aligning with brand standards and operational procedures.

  • Take ownership of the hotel’s room inventory, coordinating with Reservations and Housekeeping to maximise occupancy and guest satisfaction.

  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues with confidence and care, maintaining a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

  • Support and maintain high standards in guest billing, and financial compliance.

  • Recruit, train, and develop front office staff to be confident, service-oriented, and aligned with AC’s brand values.

  • Foster a calm, welcoming environment that reflects the modern and refined AC guest experience.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience in a similar Front Office leadership role within the hotel or hospitality industry.

  • Familiarity with Opera or similar property management systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to lead, inspire and develop a team.

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering a polished guest experience.

  • A collaborative mindset with a desire to support wider hotel operations and cross-functional teamwork.

  • A confident and composed presence, reflective of the AC brand’s poised and professional identity.
