JOIN OUR FAMILY

At RBH we believe our people are our biggest assets and understand the value in putting them first. Our approach to diversity in the workplace, health & wellbeing, sustainability and individuality sets us apart from our competitors and is one of the reasons we are rated Top 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality!  We are passionate about the industry and always on the lookout for new talent to join us on our journey...

OUR HOTEL

We’re not just refurbishing The Met — we’re reinventing what it means to stay somewhere unforgettable. Bold, buzzing, and full of character, our iconic Leeds landmark is being transformed into a place where style isn’t just seen, it’s felt. From head-turning interiors to moments that stick with our guests long after check-out, we’re building something brilliant — and we need people who get that magic is made in the details.

That’s where you come in.

We’re on the hunt for a Housekeeping Supervisor with an eye like a hawk, standards sky-high, and a knack for leading a team with energy and purpose. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in perfection, thrives on organisation, and knows how to bring the best out in others — we’d love to meet you.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR AT THE MET HOTEL, LEEDS

You’ll be the right hand to our Head Housekeeper, helping run the show behind the scenes so that every room sparkles, every hallway shines, and every guest walks in thinking “wow.”

Here’s what your days will look like:

  • Oversee the housekeeping team, guiding, supporting, and keeping standards on point throughout the shift
  • Check rooms and public areas with a sharp eye and even sharper standards — quality is everything
  • Jump in where needed — whether that’s turning a room around, calming a last-minute panic, or fixing a cushion that’s gone rogue
  • Train new starters and coach the team to deliver service that’s consistently excellent (and occasionally jaw-dropping)
  • Liaise with maintenance and front desk to keep things running like clockwork
  • Spot issues before they become problems — whether that’s stock levels, staffing needs, or a squeaky door hinge
  • Be a role model for pride, professionalism, and positivity — your team will follow your lead

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...

To succeed in the role of Housekeeping Supervisor, you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping role — ideally with some supervisory or team-leader experience under your belt
  • A real passion for cleanliness, order, and going above and beyond
  • Confidence to give direction, make decisions, and handle challenges without breaking a sweat
  • Strong organisational skills and a cool head in a busy environment
  • A team-first mindset, but happy to take the reins and run the shift when needed
  • Physical stamina to keep up with the pace — because even superheroes break a sweat sometimes
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a dash of humour — because work’s better when we enjoy it

WHAT WE OFFER

Why this role?

  • The chance to be part of a team that’s passionate, welcoming, and ready to make a difference
  • A stylish, energetic hotel that’s shaking up the Leeds scene — and you’ll be right at the heart of it
  • Full training and development opportunities to help you grow and progress
  • A supportive work environment where your efforts are recognised and appreciated
  • Competitive pay and benefits, plus the chance to be part of something truly exciting as The Met transforms into a hotel like no other

You’ll also get access to a benefits package we believe truly works for our people.

  • Discounted hotel room rates for you and your friends & family
  • An additional days leave for your birthday
  • Enhanced Maternity, adoption & shared parental leave
  • Course Sponsorship
  • 30% F&B discount at RBH hotels
  • Refer a Friend scheme (earn £250 for each referral up to 5 referrals)
  • Wagestream - choose how and when you get paid
  • Life Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Social and wellness events and activities all year round
  • Free meals on duty saving you over £1000 per year

And much much more!
