We opened the first 5* Hotel in Liverpool; The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back to life. We boast 179 stunning bedrooms set in a remarkable and inspiring landmark of the city. Time is of essence and at the heart of The Municipal’s story. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COCKTAIL BARTENDER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY
What you'll be doing...
As a Cocktail Bartender you will be reporting directly to the Bar Manager, and work closely with the Bar team, bringing an unparalleled level of service embodying a "no half measures" attitude to provide the perfect guest experience.
· Preparing all beverages for guests in an efficient and timely fashion.
· Providing a friendly, welcoming, unique guest experience
· Providing knowledge and creative drink recommendations.
· Assessing guest’s needs and preferences and making recommendations using excellent product knowledge.
· Making useful upsell recommendations where applicable
· Keep the bar presentable and clean to the highest standard
· Operate Challenge 25 policy to ensure safe service of alcohol
· Comply with all food and beverage regulations
· Pouring standards are to be adhered to always and regular pour tests completed
· Take responsibility for tasks assigned by management and communicate any issues to supervisors/managers
· Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
· Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Transport supplies to bar set-up area.
KEY SKILLS:
· In-depth understanding of all in-house products and to how to prepare them
· Strong knowledge of classic cocktails e.g. ingredients, preparation, etc.
· Understanding of licensing objectives and Challenge 25
· Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
· Punctual and reliable
· Outstanding customer service skills
· Guest focused.
· Ability to work well within the team to achieve brand and sales objectives
