About the role

We are currently seeking a passionate Night Porter to join the team here at House of George W. Davies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to be a part of the launch of the House of George W. Davies Hotel, nestled in the beautiful town of Broadway in the Cotswold's.About the role:

This is a full-time role, working on average 40 hours per week, working 5 days a week between the hours of 11.00 pm to 7.00 am.

You will be able to give a fantastic welcome to any early or late arrivals getting to know what someone needs before they even know it themselves, leaving them impressed, reassured, and most importantly, feeling at home. It doesn’t matter if they’re first time visitors or returning guests, you’ll charm them from the initial welcome to the “Good Night or Have a safe journey” with your impeccable standards of service.

Our night porters are expert all-rounders helping to fulfil many different roles whilst they are on shift, such as assisting on the bar, cleaning and delivering room service food orders.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

You’ll be someone who remains calm under pressure and is able to take any challenges in your stride.


You’ll enjoy making guests feel welcome and at home, and will develop a thorough knowledge of our of hotel products and services.


You’ll have previous experience working in hotels as a Night Porter role.


You`ll ideally have previous experience with hotel operational systems, this is not essential but will be considered an advantage.


You`ll be responsible for Setting up, clearing and cleaning areas within the venue to a very high standard.


You’ll be responsible for the safety and security of the hotel & guests, by conducting fire and security walks.


You’ll be excellent at building a rapport with new and returning guests.


You’ll take pride in your appearance, as the face of House of George W. Davies.


Most of all, you’ll have a friendly, welcoming and genuine manner.
