Offering exceptional dining, live music, and a world-class events programme, the Club remains at the heart of contemporary cultural life in London.

About the Role

As Reception Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering a five-star welcome experience. You will oversee the day-to-day Front Desk operation, support and guide the Reception team, resolve member queries, and ensure every interaction reflects the high standards of The Arts Club. Working closely with senior management, you will help maintain seamless service and an efficient, well-presented reception environment.

  • Handle member and guest enquiries, issues, and complaints with efficiency and professionalism, escalating when appropriate

  • Support front desk procedures including member check-ins, reservations, messaging, emails, and call handling

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date member profiles and oversee lost property, cloakroom processes, and deliveries

  • Liaise with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure operational issues are promptly addressed

  • Provide clear handovers between shifts to ensure continuity of service

  • Oversee stock control of uniforms and assist with courier requests

  • Contribute to department targets and ensure compliance with Club policies and statutory regulations (including Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Covid-19 measures)

  • Assist in training and developing Reception team members, supporting continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior front desk role within luxury hospitality or a high-service environment

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills

  • Excellent organisational abilities with a calm, adaptable approach to fast-paced environments

  • Professional appearance and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal departments

  • Working knowledge of reception systems or property management software (desirable)
