Mission

As Reservations Supervisor, you will support the Reservations Manager in leading the day-to-day operation of the Reservations department, ensuring an exceptional booking experience while maximising occupancy, revenue, and average room rate. You will inspire, coach, and develop the Reservations team, ensuring operational excellence, commercial performance, and outstanding guest service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Reservations Manager in the daily supervision and smooth operation of the Reservations department, leading the team to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Monitor room availability, overbookings, waitlists, and reservation accuracy to maximise occupancy while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Conduct daily team briefings, allocate workloads, and ensure departmental procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
  • Review arrivals, room allocations, rates, routing instructions, and reservation details, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Build strong relationships with Front Office, Revenue, Sales, Finance, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Coach, train, and develop Reservations Agents, supporting onboarding, performance management, quality assurance, and continuous learning.
  • Monitor reservation quality, sales performance, call standards, and upselling opportunities to maximise conversion and revenue.
  • Support revenue management strategies through effective use of Opera PMS, Sirius, EZ Yield, and other reservation systems.
  • Produce operational reports and analyse booking trends to support commercial decision-making and departmental performance.
  • Deputise for the Reservations Manager during periods of absence, ensuring business continuity and operational excellence.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in Reservations, Revenue, Front Office, or Hotel Operations within a hospitality environment.
  • Experience supervising or leading a reservations or guest services team.
  • Good knowledge of Opera PMS and hotel reservation systems (knowledge of Sirius and EZ Yield is advantageous).
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of occupancy, ADR, and revenue management principles.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and make confident operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and personalised service.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy.
  • A positive, proactive, and collaborative leadership style.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
