About the role, what will I be doing?

  •  To ensure that all team members are on duty as per Rota
  •  To ensure that all team members are carrying out their tasks as per task sheet ensuring the tasks are completed by the end of the shift. 
  • To monitor and manage any overbooking on room types and pay extra attention to higher room type overbooking/family rooms/Junior Suites and flag it to Reservations Manager immediately for current and future dates. 
  • Check the arrivals list for accuracy of the reservations including rates, correct back up, routing and investigate any duplicate bookings. 
  • Liaise with FO/Administrator for any outstanding back up queries to ensure closure of the bill correctly and in a timely manner 
  • To conduct daily morning briefings with the team and share revenue/sales initiatives as well as reinforce reservations procedures. 
  • To lead by example at all times and follow Melia Values when dealing with other team members as well as the guests. 
  • To input Apartment reservations as requested by the Apartment Sales Team.
  • To assist with reporting and sharing the results with relevant departments as/if required as instructed by Reservations Manager.
  • To deputize for Reservations Manager in her absence
