Description

About Us

Set within a Grade II–listed building in the heart of Cheltenham, The Queens Hotel is one of Europe’s earliest purpose-built hotels. Boasting 84 elegantly appointed rooms, two versatile meeting spaces — including our grand Regency Suite — alongside a refined restaurant and bar, we deliver timeless charm, exceptional service, and locally inspired cuisine.

The Role

We’re seeking an organised and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join our team and help deliver exceptional meetings, weddings, and private functions. You’ll play a key role in managing event enquiries, coordinating logistics, and ensuring each event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the Reservations & Events Manager in driving event revenue through upselling and creative package development.
  • Support the Reservations Team during holidays and pick demand.
  • Handle all event and group enquiries, from initial contact to post-event follow-up, ensuring a professional and timely response.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and create detailed event proposals and function sheets.
  • Coordinate with the Operations, Food & Beverage, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Conduct show rounds and support clients throughout the planning process.
  • Manage event details within the property management system, ensuring accuracy in billing and documentation.
  • Maintain awareness of local market trends and competitor offerings to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Assist with compiling event reports, client feedback, and post-event analysis.

We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Previous experience in an events, sales, or hospitality coordination role.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a strong eye for detail.
  • A customer-focused approach and ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, flexible attitude and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.

Perks

  • Complimentary meals when on duty.
  • On-site parking and cycle-to-work benefits.
  • Access to professional development opportunities.
  • Access to the WeCare app – a wellbeing solution supporting your mental, physical, social, and financial health, including 24/7 UK-based online GP appointments, mental health counselling, a get-fit programme, legal and financial guidance, and much more.
