Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated Guest Sales Agent to join our luxury hotel brand at The Roseate Reading.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated Guest Sales Agent to join our luxury hotel brand across Roseate Hotels & Resorts' UK Collection, live from 1 October 2026.

Join Roseate Hotels & Resorts, a boutique luxury hotel collection with properties across the UK and India. Known for its avant-garde design, attentive service and beautifully crafted guest experiences, Roseate blends sophisticated business and leisure hospitality. Each property tells its own story — with bold architecture, bespoke interiors and meticulous detail.

If you thrive on turning enquiries into bookings, love picking up the phone to make a guest's stay memorable before they've even arrived, and know how to make every guest interaction count, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

•      Work the reservations desk's inbound enquiries — by phone, email and online channels — converting them into confirmed bookings within the desk's 1-hour response standard

•      Call guests flagged each morning from the previous day's new reservations against the property's high-value and suite-booking thresholds, following a structured call script to confirm bookings, discover guest needs and arrange their stay ahead of arrival

•      Proactively upsell room upgrades, early check-in, room amenities, dining reservations and spa/leisure bookings, working toward the cluster's target of 50 upsells per hotel, per month

•      Act as a travel-agent-style liaison between guest and hotel — booking restaurant tables and reserving spa and leisure facilities so everything is arranged before check-in

•      Follow up on live Group quotes and chase provisional holds under the Cluster Guest Experience Manager's direction, flagging stalled enquiries for escalation

•      Pass arrival notes — celebrations, special requests, dietary needs — to the on-property Guest Experience Manager

•      Maintain accurate records in the PMS (Opera) for every enquiry, call and booking handled

•      Maintain expert knowledge of rates, promotions, availability and local offerings to confidently recommend and close

•      Apply revenue protection policies including no-show and late cancellation charges as required

Requirements

•      Experience in a similar reservations or guest-facing sales role within a 4/5 star hotel

•      A natural closer — you see every enquiry as an opportunity and know how to guide a guest towards a booking

•      Confident, warm, travel-agent-style telephone manner — equally comfortable on inbound enquiries and proactive outbound calls

•      Highly organised, able to work a daily call list alongside live enquiries without dropping the detail

•      Strong command of English; additional languages are a plus

•      Familiarity with Opera PMS preferred

Package Benefits

•      Additional holiday day off for your child's first day at primary school

•      Recognition for every year of service anniversary, including a complimentary stay and an additional holiday day after your 3rd year of service

•      Employee Assistance Program

•      Meals on duty

•      Provision and laundry of uniform

•      Employee recognition awards

•      Performance review and personal development plan

•      Internal transfer and promotion opportunities

•      Support in the development of your career

•      Preferential room rates within the hotel group for yourself and family & friends

You must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position and be in possession of a current work visa. In line with the requirements set by the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
