A bit about what you will do...  

As Assistant Reservations Manager, you will assist in ensuring that consistent and outstanding experience is provided by the Reservations Team for all internal and external guests. You will motivate and drive the Reservations Team to perform to exceed the hotel’s financial targets and to ensure a team orientated, professional and learning working environment is always maintained.

  • Assist with leading the Reservations team, fostering team dynamics to ensure the team remains focused on meeting guests’ needs and brand standards. 
  • Ensure effective and efficient communication procedures enabling the operation to plan and deliver all guests requirements. 
  • Complete weekly and monthly forecasting. 
  • Ensure ultimate accuracy of information on a reservation, groups and M&E, e.g. rate, account instructions, origin codes, country codes, etc.
  • Develop team’s awareness of revenue capture, packages and accounting to enhance revenues and improve guest service.  
  • To target the team on all up-selling opportunities, utilising incentives as appropriate e.g. exec room sales, priority club, etc. 
  • Monitor the revenue recovered from no-shows and late cancellations.
  • Motivate and drive the Reservations Team ensuring a professional and team orientated working environment.

  • Proven experience in managing, coaching and developing teams.

  • A smart and professional appearance. 
  • Proven track record in a similar position within a 4-star hotel. 
  • Good working knowledge of Opera PMS and Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent standard of English, both written and spoken.
