Summary:
Lamington Group, an award-winning family-owned hospitality business, is seeking a Group Revenue & Distribution Manager (aka Profit Strategist), to lead the Revenue and Reservations teams. This role offers the opportunity to shape the revenue function across the room2 hometels and Lamington Apartments, as the business undergoes rapid nationwide expansion. You will be instrumental in driving revenue performance, building a high-performing team, and supporting our sustainable growth across the UK.

Your Objective:
As the Group Revenue & Distribution Manager, you will be the leader of the Revenue and Reservations Teams, part of the Commercial Department, which also includes the Sales and Marketing teams. You will report directly to the Head of Commercial and work closely with the entire Commercial team and hotel operations, especially with General Managers (GMs). Your role will focus on delivering proactive solutions, driving strategic decisions, and managing revenue growth across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Take ownership of the Revenue and Reservations teams, leading and developing your teams to implement strategic, forward-thinking revenue solutions.

  • Revenue & Profit Strategies: Develop comprehensive revenue management strategies that optimise both revenue and profitability across all properties, considering distribution and acquisition costs. Contribute to the creation of annual budgets and the development of long-term commercial strategies.

  • Market Analysis & Forecasting: Perform detailed market analysis to stay ahead of trends, competitors, and opportunities. Lead accurate forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring well-informed financial planning.

  • Pricing & Inventory Management: Create dynamic pricing strategies based on demand patterns and historical performance. Ensure optimal distribution across direct and indirect channels (OTAs, GDS) and manage relationships with external partners.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and hotel operations to ensure alignment of revenue management strategies with overall business goals, proactively solving business challenges.

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Incorporate sustainability considerations into revenue management, where appropriate, aligning with Lamington Group’s commitment to sustainable growth.

  • Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate detailed reports, and present insights to senior management, offering strategic recommendations for business optimisation.

  • Pre-Opening Projects: Lead revenue strategies for new property openings, including room2 York and room2 Manchester.


Experience Required:

  • 3+ years in hotel or hospitality revenue management roles with multi-property oversight.

  • 3+ years managing and developing teams to drive performance and deliver results.

  • Proven expertise in revenue strategy, pricing, and forecasting, with advanced analytical and Excel skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Experience in translating data into actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills.


Desirable:

  • Familiarity with MEWS PMSDuetto RMS, Siteminder Channel ManagerHotelRez, and Salesforce (Thynk).

  • Experience with long-stay or serviced apartment revenue management.

  • Previous experience in opening new properties and launching revenue strategies.
