Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a Reservations Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract to join the team at our unique four-star hotel in the heart of the city.
Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue / Reservations Manager, you will play a key role in managing individual and group bookings, ensuring accurate reservation records, and providing exceptional service to all guests.
Your main focus is to assist the Reservations Department with the day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy, timely communication, and maximized revenue opportunities.
A Reservations Assistant will be responsible for:
Handling incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms
Managing reservations from travel agents, corporate clients, and direct bookings
Maintaining accurate records of reservations, confirmations, and contracts
Processing cancellations, modifications, and advance deposits
Tracking room availability and assisting with revenue and occupancy forecasts
Preparing daily expected arrival lists for front office use
Communicating relevant reservation updates to the front desk and other departments
Assisting with online rate and availability management across booking channels
Collaborating with other departments to provide accurate guest information and promote hotel services
Supporting reporting on reservations and occupancy as required by management
Maintaining a neat, organized, and professional reservations workspace
Skills:
Previous experience in reservations or hospitality
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Customer-focused and professional
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PMS systems (e.g., Opera)
Ability to work independently and in a team
Positive attitude and proactive approach
