Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team at Richmond Hill Hotel—an independent Georgian gem overlooking London’s greenest borough. Just a stone’s throw from the Royal Park, we’re where city buzz meets leafy calm.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and their warmth, energy, and creativity have earned us a place on The Sunday Times and The Caterer lists of top industry employers.

Our culture? Award-winning, progressive, and delightfully independent. The building may be historic, but our thinking isn’t. We’re refreshingly free-spirited and like to do things differently—from our paint to our people. Here, being yourself isn’t just encouraged—it’s essential.

We believe real luxury is found in thoughtful touches, genuine care, and attention to detail—creating experiences that make our guests feel truly special.

What’s in it for you…

  • Competitive salary of £30,115.55 plus monthly service charge (averaging £500-£600)
  • Access to hundreds of online perks and discounts
  • Free health cashback plan for you and your family
  • Extra day’s holiday for each year of service (up to 5 additional days)
  • Salary sacrifice schemes (bike, laptop, gym membership)
  • Free use of onsite gym, meals on duty, and parking
  • Bespoke career development through internal and external training
  • Refer a friend scheme (up to £500 incentive)
  • Recognition programmes including Employee of the Month, Manager of the Quarter, long service awards, and reward payments
  • Flexible working patterns, and much more

Is this role right for you?

As Bar Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and a positive team environment. You will lead by example, engage your team, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the bar team during service
  • Maintain high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness
  • Train and develop team members, supporting ongoing growth
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Support stock control, ordering, and rotation
  • Managing  inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a well-organised bar area
  • Contribute to strategies that enhance bar revenue and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures
  • Assist the Bar/Restaurant Manager with daily operations and planning

What we’re looking for…

  • A hunger for hospitality and going the extra mile, with previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Someone that is willing to bring their best, authentic self to work. Rather than reading from a script or putting on a persona, our approach is all about bringing the very best version of ourselves to work every day.
  • A creative approach to your role – we believe that a game changing idea can come from anyone, anytime.
  • Someone who thrives in a dynamic and vibrant environment and is committed to delivering exceptional hospitality

If this sounds like a role you could get excited about, we would love to hear from you!

Please note that all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
