Financial Accountant

  • Up to £40,000 per annum.
  • Plus, up to £2,400 per year in tips (paid weekly, based on last year’s earnings), giving total potential earnings of £42,400 per year.

We’re looking for an inquisitive process driven Financial Accountant to drive governance and compliance to reporting standards across the Rick Stein group.

This role requires an individual who have proven experience in evaluating and implementing financial controls and would have previously worked in an audit and compliance position.

We are a people business and we want you to be close to the action, understanding the financial processes associated with hospitality, retail and the supply chain is essential to being able to provide recommendations and collaboratively drive forward improvements in reporting and controls.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and implementing changes to financial processes that improve efficiency and accuracy of reported information.
  • Oversee the monthly reconciliation process advising management of risk
  • Supporting with monthly management account processes to improve controls over high-risk balances.
  • Complete quarterly VAT returns, challenging process and reporting regimes.
  • Hold relationships with key external stakeholders such as HMRC, VOA & ONS
  • Responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the annual audit process
  • Assess SOP’s associated with financial controls, implement improvements and implement reporting regimes to embed change.

Qualifications:

  • Min part-qualified – ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • 3+ years of experience in a financial accountant/ audit position
  • Proven track record in delivering results and engaging stakeholders to adopt change
  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office suite, with particular attention to excel
  • Experience of Sage 200/ EPOS/ Payroll/ Procurement software.
