Rick Stein Head Office

Description

6–9 Month Fixed-Term Contract | 2–3 Days per Week | £35,000 pro rata

We’re looking for a talented Midweight Graphic Designer to join us on a fixed-term basis, supporting a key phase of brand evolution across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in rolling out our Masterbrand, ensuring it is implemented consistently and effectively across all touchpoints, from in-restaurant materials to digital channels. Alongside this, you’ll help shape and embed site-level brand guidelines, bringing clarity and cohesion to how each location expresses the brand.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative thinking and practical execution, someone who can take ownership, work independently, and deliver high-quality design work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you’ll be doing

Masterbrand Rollout

  • Assist in the rollout of the Masterbrand across all customer touchpoints
  • Translate brand guidelines into practical, usable assets across print and digital
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all outputs, maintaining brand integrity

Site Brand Guidelines

  • Develop and implement site-specific brand guidelines
  • Adapt the core brand to suit individual locations while maintaining consistency
  • Create clear, usable toolkits for internal teams to follow

Campaign & BAU Design

  • Design and produce high-quality assets for campaigns and day-to-day marketing activity
  • Create materials across print and digital including menus, POS, signage, email and social assets
  • Adapt campaign creative across multiple formats and platforms

Creative Production & Artworking

  • Prepare artwork for print (bleed, crop marks, colour profiles, correct formats)
  • Ensure all outputs are delivered to spec and ready for production
  • Maintain high standards of detail and consistency across all work

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with the marketing team to bring campaigns to life
  • Support timelines and ensure projects are delivered on schedule
  • Help maintain and evolve brand toolkits and asset libraries

What we’re looking for

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a graphic design role (agency or in-house)
  •  Strong portfolio demonstrating brand, campaign and production work
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong understanding of brand systems and how to apply them in real-world contexts
  • Excellent artworking skills and attention to detail
  • Experience preparing files for print and digital output
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
  • Experience in hospitality, lifestyle or consumer brands is highly desirable

Who you are

  • A confident midweight designer ready to take ownership of projects
  •  Detail-focused with a strong eye for layout, typography and consistency
  • Practical and solutions-oriented, able to turn brand thinking into real outputs
  • Organised and reliable, with strong time management
  • Collaborative, but equally comfortable working autonomously
  • Interested in food, hospitality and creating engaging customer experiences

The details

  • Contract: 6–9 months fixed-term
  • Working pattern: 2–3 days per week (flexible)
  • Salary: £35,000 pro rata
  • Location: To be discussed, option for hybrid/remote with regular travel to Cornwall office and restaurants across Cornwall and south of England.

Benefits

  • Staff discounts. You'll get discount in our restaurants, shops and online and discounted hotel stays and cookery courses.
  • Brilliant tips. On top of your salary you'll earn tips, paid weekly into your bank.
  • Paid Holiday. Pro rata, you'll get 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays).
  • Employee Assistance Programme. Wellbeing and engagement platform offering support, counselling sessions and retail discounts online and on the high street.

Why join us?

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and embed a major brand evolution across a well-loved hospitality business. You’ll have real ownership, visible impact, and the chance to bring a brand to life across multiple environments and experiences.
