We’re now looking for an experienced and inspirational Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and set the standard for culinary excellence.

What you’ll be doing
• Leading the kitchen operation and setting the standard for
food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Delivering excellent service during busy periods while maintaining calm,
control, and organisation
• Developing, training, and motivating your kitchen team to perform at their
best
• Working closely with senior management to drive standards, performance, and
culture
• Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures are fully adhered to
• Managing stock control, ordering, GP, and waste reduction
• Maintaining kitchen systems, rotas, and labour planning
• Driving menu delivery in line with Rick Stein brand standards, with a focus
on fresh seafood
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning within the
kitchen
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
What we’re looking for
• Proven experience as a Head Chef (or a strong Sous Chef
ready to step up) in a high-volume, quality-led kitchen
• A passion for fresh ingredients, seafood, and simple cooking done brilliantly
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and retain
talent
• Commercial awareness, including stock management and waste control
• Excellent organisation and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, HACCP, and best practice
• A professional, reliable role model who leads by example
• Commitment to delivering outstanding food and guest experiences
