The Rising sun is set just on the edge of The New Forest, bordering the local town New Milton. We are a remote location with limited public transport so please only apply if you have reliable means of transport.

We are a busy seasonal pub, predominately food lead, seeing high covers through spring and summer. Evening and weekend work is essential and shifts vary from 11am-10pm each day. We unfortunately cannot offer morning shifts or shifts to suit school hours as our business is busiest during school holidays. 

This is a flexible position, with more hours available during school holidays and would suit college and university students who are looking to work out of term time.

The role includes taking food from the kitchen to tables inside and outside, clearing plates and glasses from the pub and garden, serving customers in our restaurant area, and serving behind the bar. Full training will be given and compliance training in allergens, health and safety and basic food safety will be required before you start as part of your induction process.

Due to the nature of the work and being expected to pour and serve drinks behind our bar, we will only be recruiting this position for 18 years and over. This is an active role which requires you to be on your feet for the duration of your shift and moving around a very large site- please only apply if you are 18 or over and able to withstand being on your feet for up to 6 hours.
