Be a part of something new and exciting; find your place at Riverstone.

£50,000 a year starting salary, plus performance-related bonus.

Be our first Community & Events Manager at our new Riverstone residence at Bishops Avenue.

Let’s start with what is a Riverstone Residence? Think of a blend of outstanding apartments, with the services of a private members club and a luxury hotel. Riverstone offers a community for over 65’s that assists with maintaining an active, independent and rewarding lifestyle whilst offering the reassurance of service, security and well-being support.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at Riverstone. We are looking for a Community & Events Manager to lead the creation and delivery of a high-quality, inclusive programme of events and engagement within our newest residence.

We offer more than just a competitive package; we provide the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping our vibrant community from the ground up. If you are passionate about people, creativity, and making a tangible difference, this is your chance to join a team that values innovation and collaboration.

You will bring your experience in events, hospitality and community engagement to design and deliver an outstanding resident experience, working closely with the General Manager, Residence Team, Sales, Marketing and Client Relationship Teams to strengthen our community and enhance day-to-day life at Riverstone.

The successful candidate will be based onsite at our Bishops Avenue residence five days a week. Your visibility and presence are essential to the community we are collectively shaping under your leadership.

Key Responsibilities of the Community & Events Manager role

  • Leading the planning and delivery of events and activities - from resident-led social gatherings to sales and community outreach events.
  • Developing and delivering clear, timely communications - including seasonal updates, event promotion, and essential resident information.
  • Building strong relationships with current and future residents to encourage participation and create a connected, welcoming community.
  • Working with the wider team to monitor budgets, evaluate feedback, and continuously improve the programme.

This role will be great for you if you...

  • Love creating experiences that bring people together.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, live environment and can juggle competing priorities.
  • Enjoy collaborative working with Riverstone colleagues and external partners alike.
  • Are confident using digital tools (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, Canva etc.)
  • Have an eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality and service.

A rewarding role

  • £50,000 a year starting salary, plus performance-related bonus
  • Working hours are typically 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility will be required around event timings.
  • Annual Leave entitlement of 25 days plus Bank Holidays, increasing with your length of service.
  • Some of the other benefits that you will have access to include:
    • Enhanced employer pension contribution
    • Life assurance cover.
    • Annual private health assessment.
    • Season ticket loan scheme
    • Save with us - access a range of discounts and cashback from hundreds of high street retailers on every day (and special day) items.
