Description

Be a part of something new and exciting; find your place at Riverstone.

£37,491 a year starting salary, plus performance-related bonus.

Be our first Head Housekeeper at our new Riverstone residence at Bishops Avenue, near to Hampstead Heath.

Let’s start with what is a Riverstone Residence? Think of a blend of outstanding apartments, with the services of a private members club and a luxury hotel. Riverstone offers a community for over 65’s that assists with maintaining an active, independent and rewarding lifestyle whilst offering the reassurance of service, security and well-being support.

We offer more than just a competitive package; we provide the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping our vibrant community from the ground up. If you are passionate about people and making a tangible difference in the lives of others, this is your chance to join a team that values service excellence, innovation and teamwork.

The housekeeping team will maintain and clean all communal arears including restaurant, corridors, lobbies, stairways, lifts, and lounges as well as the spa area, information suite and show apartments. The team are also there to provide in apartment housekeeping services on a chargeable basis for any residents who want us to provide these.

Key responsibilities of the Head Housekeeper role

  • Manage the day-to-day housekeeping operation, ensuring the highest level of housekeeping and service is maintained.
  • Set, monitor and control standards in all areas and ensuring all legal requirements are met, i.e. H&S at work, COSHH, etc.
  • Supervise and motivate the team, while ensuring that staffing levels are correct at all times.
  • Coach, support, and deliver effective feedback and training to the team, driving engagement and consistently high performance.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and maintain organised stores, escalating when stock is needed.
  • Respond to immediate cleaning needs and emergency situations with pace and professionalism.
  • Proactively engage with residents, visitors, and suppliers to promote the Riverstone culture and ensure feedback and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement in operational efficiency and resident experience, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This role will be great for you if…

  • You have a genuine and deep-rooted interest in others and enjoy building long-term relationships. You are a great listener, show real empathy and have that ‘real feel’ for how to anticipate the needs of others.
  • You want to take your experience and passion for high end service (possibly, but not necessarily gained in luxury hotels or residential) and step out of the conventional sectors to be part of creating a new lifestyle choice for the over-65s in central London.
  • You’re looking for a varied role delivering a great experience, that has the best of sectors like hospitality but without the demands and insecurity that can go with traditional roles.
  • You have experience successfully developing the potential and managing the performance of others.
  • You communicate well and build positive relationships with colleagues, residents, and partners.

A rewarding role

Starting salary of up to £37,491 based on experience, plus performance-related bonus.

Some of the benefits you will have access to include:

  • Enhanced pension
  • Life assurance cover
  • Season ticket loan scheme
  • Free meals on duty
  • Annual Health Screening
  • Save with us – access a range of discounts and cashback from hundreds of retailers on every day (and special day) items.
