You have a genuine and deep-rooted interest in networks and wish to grow your area of expertise in cybersecurity and driven to assist colleagues with technical issues.

This cross functional role will ensure you are immersed and embedded across Riverstone’s multiple sites and culture

Key responsibilities of the Network / Security Engineer

  • Establishing and maintaining our IT and digital communication infrastructure, including wireless or LAN networks. 
    • Riverstone primarily uses Cisco Meraki security & network hardware, as well as some Ubiquiti and Draytek switches.
  • Installing and maintaining firewalls, establishing and maintaining company-wide access policies to the internet
  • Making sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved.
  • Keeping up to date on ever-changing cyber-threats.  This will include monitoring and implementing Microsoft 365 security score recommendations across the suite.
  • Providing technical support and assistance to colleagues.

Requirements of the Network / Security Engineer

  • Excellent understanding and experience of Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, and wireless technologies.
  • Good understanding of Azure hosted networking, with a strong foundation knowledge of other cloud services.
  • Experience writing support documentation for network solutions.
  • Experience engaging with business leadership on matters of IT Networking.
  • Highly process-orientated; rigorous and disciplined approach to change management.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong project management skills / Excellent time management. 
  • Ability to effectively multi-task various responsibilities at a high level.
  • Ability to act with due professional care, demonstrating sound integrity and confidentiality.
  • Analytical thinking – explores and understands trends, opportunities and risk that could affect the business.
  • Strong team player

  • Windows Server 2019
  • Microsoft Azure and Intune 
    • Conditional Access, Device & Colleague Enrolment 
  • Active Directory – Hybrid 
  • Group Policy – Administration & Creation 
  • CLI / PowerShell / Bash
  • Windows 10 & 11
  • Microsoft 365 Suite – standard and administrative support
    • Exchange, SharePoint & Teams - Monitoring 
    • Security Hardening & Best Practices – DKIM for Exchange, etc. 

Education

  • Achieved or currently studying towards their CCNA or an equivalent qualification.

 A rewarding role

  • Starting salary of up to £65,000 based on experience, plus performance-related bonus
  • 40-hour week, Monday to Friday – 4 days on-site, at our Victoria based office or our residences – Kensington and Fulham.
