Beautiful homes, extraordinary services, and amenities, with an amazing sense of community and belonging, with well-being at its heart.

This role is right for you if…

  • You thrive in a ‘no two days the same’ environment in which you have a real opportunity to make a difference to the conveyancing process and legal aspects of the business more generally
  • You have a genuine and deep-rooted interest in conveyancing
  • You enjoy working as part of a small but established team
  • You are a creator, not a follower. Retirement living is a new and rapidly expanding sector which we are setting the standard for in central London. We need someone wants to build on what we’ve already done to make this into a solid platform for future growth.

Key responsibilities of the Junior Conveyancing Paralegal role

    • Assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive conveyancing register and general administrative tasks.
  • Documentation and reporting
    • Contribute to the creation and management of policies and procedures, ensuring all legal aspects are up-to-date and compliant.
    • Assist with final data input on the conveyancing manager and ensure all documentation is accurately uploaded, cross-checked, and updated.
  • Transaction management
    • Assist with the optimisation of the in-house transaction management platform and associated interfaces for enhanced functionality.
    • Ensure all updates and information are correctly logged and tracked in the system, particularly post-exchange and post-completion.
  • Compliance
    • Supporting on the annual ARCO (The Associated Retirement Community Operators) assessment and related internal audits, and attend to the implementation of actions following the annual inspection.
    • ARCO are the main body representing the Integrated Retirement Community sector in the UK.
  • General legal support
    • Provide general legal support across the business, including file management, attending meetings, and serving as a legal point of contact.
    • Conduct legal research to support various business and legal initiatives.
    • Attend weekly meetings including sales tracker and completions review to provide legal insights where required.
    • Assist with any ad-hoc business-wide support required by various departments, ensuring smooth operation and legal compliance across all activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or related field
  • Previous experience or knowledge in conveyancing processes is a must, together with broader real estate law
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a proven record of managing multi-tasks and prioritising workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and innovative environment
  • High integrity in being able to handle confidential and personal sensitive data
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience working in a small to medium-sized organisation
  • Experience working in the property/retirement industry, or knowledge of UK senior living sector and operating models

A rewarding role

  • Some of the benefits that you will have access to include:
