Description
Wellbeing Ambassador – Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist
We are looking for a Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist to join the Wellbeing Team at Riverstone, working across our retirement community residences in Kensington, Fulham, and Hampstead. At Riverstone we are creating exceptionally designed developments exclusively for people over 65. It’s not just about a place to live, but a new way of living that enables them to live the life they want to live. We want this to be a lifestyle full of choice, with wellbeing at its heart, that enables people to be active and social, and continue learning until any age. These are choices and that’s why we purposefully call the role ‘Wellbeing Ambassador’ – you champion these choices, based on understanding our residents needs and how best to engage and encourage them in realising the benefits. Riverstone are leading the way on what it means to age well, and you will be at the forefront of best practice in preventing physical and mental frailty. Our wellbeing programme is evidence based and led by our wellbeing director who is an experienced geriatrician. From carrying out comprehensive assessments with personalised goal-plans, delivering bespoke programmes improving physical and mental health, through to being a trusted confidante of our residents, every day is different.
And all of this takes place in our beautifully designed, state of the art wellbeing spaces.
You will also develop relationships and work closely with our trusted CQC registered partners including care agencies, nursing agencies and private doctors.
This role is right for you if…
You are a registered Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist who wants to take your professional healthcare experience and knowledge and step out of the conventional sectors to be part of creating a new lifestyle choice for older adults.
You have a genuine and deep-rooted interest in the wellbeing of others and enjoy building long-term relationships.
You enjoy working as part of a team, and thinking outside of a traditional ‘health’ mindset, to explore what is truly possible.
You believe that movement is medicine and are passionate about helping older adults live stronger, healthier, and more independent lives.
You are a creator, not a follower.
Retirement living is a new and rapidly expanding sector of which we are setting the standard in central London. In this role, you’re part of a team developing an approach to health and wellbeing that is genuinely ground-breaking.
Key responsibilities of this role include -
Be part of the team who carry out regular CGA (comprehensive geriatric assessments) with our residents, work with them to develop bespoke wellbeing packages, and support them to achieve goals that they may set.
Get to know the people who live at Riverstone. Lead the relationship with care providers who work with our residents; co-ordinate with other health providers to access expertise as required to help them to meet their health needs.
Oversee the delivery of evidence-based exercise programmes, support and develop the Fitness Instructors, and use resident data to measure outcomes, drive continuous improvement, and enhance resident wellbeing.
Work hand in hand with our sales team, meeting potential residents when they are making the decision about whether Riverstone is right for them, and helping them to understand the safety net that we offer.
Co-ordinate and deliver health and wellbeing learning to residents and Riverstone Team
Adhere to clinical governance and quality processes within the residences, including safeguarding, Infection Control and Health and Safety. A rewarding role.

Starting salary from £52,000, plus performance-related bonus
40-hour week, Monday to Friday
Some of the benefits that you will have access to include:
Pension and life assurance
Annual health check
Free daily main meal at work
Access a range of discounts and cashback from hundreds of retailers on every day (and special day) items.
