As Assistant General Manager, you will work with the General Manager and Heads Of Departments to ensure that Rockwater is an efficient and profitable business, as well as delivering The Rockwater Experience to every guest. You will work closely with the senior managers to ensure all areas of operation are compliant with company standards, including guest satisfaction and relations, staff recruitment, retention and progression, financial controls and stock management, as well as ensuring we are a safe and legal environment for our guests and our team.

  • Required to be able to manage all areas of Rockwater as necessary to ensure there is a senior manager presence at all times in the absence of a Restaurant Manager. 
  • To be a major part of service, working closely with the entire team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of Rockwater, addressing any service issues and implementing appropriate solutions. 
  • Ensure the highest levels of service are consistently provided to all customers and guests by the front of house team. 
  • Ensure any guest complaints are managed effectively at the time and not escalated to written complaints. 
  • Work closely with and support the Management Team to help achieve the monthly revenue and profit targets. 
  • Be aware of all financial aspects of Rockwater and input ideas to maximize sales and minimize costs but always delivering a brilliant guest experience. 
  • Work closely and have good communication with the Senior Management Team to ensure KPIs are being met and work together to action any shortfalls. 
  • Be aware of location targets and objectives and assist the HODs in achieving them while also keeping in mind the targets and objectives of Rockwater as a whole. 
  • Assist the General Manager in ensuring all necessary actions are taken to achieve short, medium and long term goals and objectives of Rockwater. 
  • To be the host of the building in the absence of the General Manager and build rapport with guests easily. 
  • Know who our members are and build relationships with them. 
  • To be flexible with guest’s needs and always willing to go the extra mile and to instill this in your teams. 
  • Assists in overseeing recruitment, training and HR needs and utilizes the relevant support managers as appropriate. 
  • Ensure managers and their teams are supported and provided with appropriate coaching and training. 
  • Ensures there is a succession plan in place and that it is monitored and updated regularly. 
  • Fill in for the General Manager when necessary. 
  • Deliver adhoc tasks as requested by the General Manager.
The Ideal Candidate

  • At least 1 years experience as an AGM in a high volume venue.
  • Experienced in managing large teams.
