As an Event Coordinator at Rockwater, you’ll play a hands-on role in the delivery and execution of our events — ensuring everything runs seamlessly on the day. Working closely with the Event Manager, Head of Events, and the wider operations team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating staff, overseeing setups and service, and ensuring our guests enjoy exceptional experiences from start to finish.
This is a purely operational position suited to someone with strong organisational skills, a calm and confident presence, and experience supervising or leading teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
This is a part-time position offering around 10-15 hours a week, the ideal candidate must be available to work a mix of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the operational delivery of events, including private hires, group bookings, Rockwater events and Openwater events.
Oversee setup, service and breakdown — ensuring all areas are prepared to Rockwater standards.
Brief and coordinate front-of-house teams to ensure clear understanding of event details and guest expectations.
Liaise with the kitchen, bar, and management teams throughout events to maintain smooth communication and timing.
Act as the main on-site contact for clients during events, responding to requests and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
Monitor event flow and adjust staffing, layouts, or service as needed to maintain operational excellence.
Ensure all post-event areas are cleared, cleaned and reset ready for regular service or the next event.
Support with administrative follow-up, including handovers and feedback to the Event Manager and Head of Events.
Uphold Rockwater’s values and commitment to outstanding guest service in every event you deliver.
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality operations, ideally in an events or supervisory role.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities under pressure.
A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
High attention to detail and a passion for great service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and key event dates.
