Junior Sous Chef - ROKA Mayfair


ROKA is a collection of contemporary Japanese Robatayaki restaurants. Since launching in 2004 on Charlotte Street, our London family has grown to include locations in Mayfair, Canary Wharf, and Aldwych. ROKA embodies the spirit of togetherness and shared dining: (RO) represents the vibrant atmosphere, while (KA) symbolises the heat and energy of the Robata grill. Proudly part of the Azumi collection, ROKA continues to deliver an elevated yet welcoming dining experience at the heart of every service.


About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to join our vibrant team at ROKA Mayfair. As a key member of our back-of-house leadership, you will embody our passion for exceptional culinary excellence, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Our Junior Sous Chef are dedicated, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, all while upholding ROKA’s renowned high standards. Full of personality and professionalism, you’ll inspire your team to deliver the outstanding service and seamless guest experience that define us.


Our Ideal Junior Sous Chef

You’ll embody our values and bring:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef, in a quality restaurant
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a large team
  • Previous experience in Japanese cuisine (preferred but not required) 
  • Eager to learn and develop both yourself and your team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
