Description
The shift leader position requires an ability to efficiently multi-task, the capability to confidently delegate work to others, excellent customer service skills, and strong leadership qualities. Shift leaders will direct employees through their daily routines and interact with guest to ensure they are having a memorable dining experience.

The shift leader may also act as quality control, ensuring guest satisfaction by properly leading and coaching employees and adhering to company policy. Lastly, thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn. The restaurant shift leader is expected to deal with customer complaints.



Duties & Responsibilities:

Coaches, mentors, and trains new employees.
Records and is accountable for store funds while running a shift.
Ensures all cash handling and cash register functions are performed in an accurate and consistent manner.
Performs and directs team members to complete the cleaning and operational tasks in accordance with the Work Assignment Sheets.
Maintains a positive work environment for employees and guest.
Checks food quality and temperature to maintain Health & Safety regulations.
Ensures all company policies, store operating policies, and procedures are communicated effectively and maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
Organizes work throughout the store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service.
Follows and directs team members to follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all food/ products.
Assists in store scheduling and adjust staffing to meet store and business needs during shift.
Open and closes shift according to the restaurant and stored procedures.
Assists as a team member, if necessary.
Other task and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of Roscoe’s Shift Leader Training Program
Previous restaurant experience preferred
Computer skills
Effective communication skills
Effective delegation skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work all shifts
Able to work with diverse populations
Adaptability/ Flexibility

Self- discipline
Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance
Effective decision-making skills
Must be able to handle the pressures of coordinating activities in a busy restaurant
Must have a desire to learn, be committed, self- motivated, and represent Roscoe’s brand and culture.

PHYSICIAL JOB DEMANDS

Able to lift maximum of 40 lbs.
Able to work in high- temperature kitchen for extended period of time
Able to stand for long periods of time
