Job Overview

The Regional Manager role at Scooter’s Coffee offers a unique opportunity to lead in a fast-paced, growing organization. This is a high-level, field-based leadership position, focused on developing district managers, strengthening store performance, and upholding brand integrity across multiple locations.

You’ll serve as the direct support system for your region—providing on-site coaching, training, accountability, and operational oversight to ensure Scooter’s Coffee delivers on its brand promise: Amazing People, Amazing Drinks, Amazingly Fast.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead and support 5-10 district managers and store leaders in achieving operational goals.
  • Coach and hold team members accountable for high standards of performance and brand adherence.
  • Mentor leadership through daily interaction, site visits, and ongoing development.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and provide respectful, direct feedback—including during conflict resolution.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Operational Excellence

  • Regularly visit stores in your region to assess execution of systems, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Identify gaps in the “Amazings” (People, Drinks, Speed) and coach managers on improvement plans.
  • Drive consistency across stores by upholding operational systems and efficiency standards.
  • Ensure stores are meeting or exceeding expectations in cleanliness, accuracy, and speed of service.
  • Provide steady leadership during crises or escalations, remaining available as needed to ensure swift and effective resolution.

Brand & Culture Advocacy

  • Instill pride in the Scooter’s Coffee brand by enforcing brand standards and physical store appearance.
  • Foster a culture of positivity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a role model of company values in every interaction.

Business & Financial Acumen

  • Manage and support P&L performance, store-level budgeting, labor control, and COGS.
  • Train and coach managers to understand their store’s financial health and performance goals.
  • Interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to address risks and opportunities.
  • Effectively hire, train, and retain team members at all levels; identify and address performance concerns decisively.
  • Understand various store formats (kiosks, drive-thru, sit-down, hospital locations) and adjust leadership accordingly.
  • Maintain working knowledge of systems like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Mentoring & Training

  • Guide managers through Freedom Enterprises’ and Scooter’s Coffee’s leadership systems and processes.
  • Train district managers on multi-unit leadership and business management principles.
  • Encourage continuing education for both personal and team growth.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management
  • Multi-unit experience preferred (QSR or similar fast-paced environments)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High level of business and financial literacy
  • Experience in scheduling, inventory, and compliance (health/safety standards)
  • Ability to mentor others, manage change, and solve problems
  • Comfortable working in the field, traveling regularly, and managing teams remotely
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Additional Expectations

  • 50+ hours per week are required to meet the needs of this role
  • After-hours availability is expected for escalations, emergencies, or critical business needs
  • Frequent travel within your region for store visits and leadership development
  • Ongoing participation in leadership training and education
