Social Media Manager

We are looking for a creative and business driven Social Media Manager to join our team. This position will report directly to the Director of Field Marketing and will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy in order to increase Smashburger online presence and improve the marketing and sales building efforts.

Founded in June 2007 and based in Denver, Colorado’s Cherry Creek neighborhood, the first Smashburger opened with one simple notion in mind: to serve a better burger and, in the process, helped create a new category. The brand smashed convention to deliver an all-in better burger experience focused on fresh, quality ingredients, a cool, hip environment, and exceptional service conducive to a busy modern lifestyle.

About JFC, our Parent Company

In October 2015, Smashburger Master LLC, agreed to sell a significant stake to Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC). Jollibee is the largest restaurant company in the Philippines, operating more than 3,000 restaurants, including Burger King Philippines, Blue Ribbon, Chow King, Greenwich Pizza, and with 30% of its restaurants outside the Philippines.  Today, Jollibee is the 100% owner of Smashburger and seeks to solidify the brand in the U.S. before its next chapter of growth in the U.S. and abroad, which includes organic growth, unit expansion and new acquisitions.  In July 2019, Jollibee announced the acquisition of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf moving further towards their vision of becoming one of the “Top Five” restaurant companies in the world.  Jollibee is characterized by a culture of trust, humility, collaboration, decisiveness and executional excellence.  Since the full acquisition by JFC in 2019, Smashburger has undergone a major brand transformation, resulting in +50% AUV growth and top same store sales performance in the fast casual better burger segment.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES 

·       Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

·       Execute our social strategy and manage community engagement across multiple owned social channels.

·       Build a strong sense of community through effective interaction with followers, engaging with followers on various platforms.

·       Develop, manage, and execute social media strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders to ideate and strategize.

·       Conceptualize, copywrite, design, execute, and schedule content for organic social media channels that builds meaningful connections, grows organic audiences, and encourages sales.

·       Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages sales

·       Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy

·       Define most important social media KPIs

·       Manage and oversee social media content. Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

·       Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

·       Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

·       Traveling to local stores to capture content (ideation, editing, & execution)

·       Collaborates with agencies to manage and develop influencer strategies

·       Digital ad copywriting

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·       Advanced knowledge using social media for brand awareness and impressions on: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices

·       Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

·       Good understanding of social media KPIs

·       Familiarity with web design and publishing

·       Analytical and multitasking skills

·       Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent time-management skills

·       Excellent  interpersonal and communication skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·       Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Marketing, Business, or relevant field, preferred.

·       At least 1-2 years of experience using social media for a business  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·       This position is based in Denver, CO and requires a hybrid schedule of working at a minimum 2-3 days in the Denver office and from home

·       Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·       Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
