Description
The Sababah Company is an exciting and dynamic restaurant group that is bringing celebrity chef Eyal Shani's restaurants to London. We already have Miznon Soho and Notting Hill open and Lilienblum in Shoreditch and HaSalon are coming in 2023. We have big plans to have 10 restaurants across 5 brands in London within the next 3 years.

As part of this expansion we are recruiting for a People and Casting Manager who will report directly into the Managing Director. 

This roles key responsibility is to support the full employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, development, and wellbeing of all employees. They will be the first point of call for all employee inquiries and for all management of employee relations. They will ensure the department policies and procedures are followed and assist in implementing the People and Culture strategy across the business.

The role:
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • responsible for all engagement and internal team activities and events including our 2 annual parties and team awards. 
  • Support the recruitment process including preparation of job descriptions, adverts, organising and conducting interviews. 
  • Prepare contracts and new starter paperwork for new team members. 
  • Ensuring all prospective team members have the appropriate right to work. 
  • Develop, implement, and train team members on People and Culture related policies like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management. 
  • Manage grievances and implement disciplinary procedures in line with UK Employment law. 
  • Plan and deliver training, including new team member induction. 
  • Plan and execute an exciting quarterly learning and development calendar for all team members.
  • Responsible for building relationships with schools, colleges and universities and charitable organisations. 
  • Provide advice to team members and managers in relation to employee benefits. 
  • Ensure the people system and all relevant team member records are accurately maintained and regularly updated in line with GDPR legislation. 
  • Prepare monthly departmental people reports such as turnover, retention, holiday, absence, birthdays etc. 
  • Manage the preparation of all team member payroll data ensuring holiday and time and attendance tracking is in line with hours worked for monthly pay run. 
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
