Description

As a Bar Back at The Sail Loft, you will support the bar team in delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced riverside pub and restaurant environment. You will ensure bartenders have everything they need to provide efficient service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restock beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, garnishes, and bar supplies throughout service.
  • Collect and wash glassware, ensuring a constant supply for the bar team.
  • Keep bar areas clean, organised, and fully stocked.
  • Change beer kegs and assist with cellar duties when required.
  • Prepare garnishes, fruit, ice, and other items needed for service.
  • Remove rubbish and recycling promptly and safely.
  • Assist bartenders during busy periods by delivering stock and supporting service operations.
  • Help maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Support opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests when required.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting kegs, crates, and stock deliveries.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
