We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at one of London’s most iconic Italian restaurants.

Sale e Pepe has been a cornerstone of Italian dining in London for over 50 years. Now, we’re looking for a Head Chef to take it forward into its next chapter.

The Role: Head Chef

As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the kitchen, leading from the front and setting the standard every single day.

You’ll be trusted to protect what makes Sale e Pepe special, while also bringing fresh energy, ideas, and direction as Head Chef.

What you’ll be doing as Head Chef:

– Leading, developing, and inspiring the kitchen team
– Delivering consistency and excellence across every service
– Maintaining the integrity of classic Italian dishes while evolving the menu
– Managing all kitchen operations, including stock, GP, and labour
– Driving standards in food safety, hygiene, and compliance
– Working closely with senior leadership on menu direction and business performance
– Collaborating with front of house to deliver a seamless guest experience

What we’re looking for in a Head Chef:

– Proven experience as a Head Chef in high-end Italian or premium restaurants
– A strong understanding of authentic Italian cuisine
– A hands-on leader who builds strong, motivated teams
– Commercially aware, confident managing costs and performance
– Someone who cares deeply about standards, consistency, and guest experience
