The Store Hotel is a new lifestyle luxury and boutique hotel set in the heart of Oxford. We sit in the building of the historic department store and Oxford institution, Boswells. Our 101-bedroom hotel will delight guests with a sense of curiosity and wonder, reflecting the rich heritage of the building’s former life.

Our growing team is already full of dedicated and passionate professionals working hard to see The Store bring a new and refreshed luxury hotel experience to the city of Oxford.

Does this role appeal to you?

The purpose of this role is to convert individual; event, mini-group and group enquires for The Store along with proactive sales designated by the Director of Sales.

Through effective communication you would be working closely with the Director of Sales in ensuring a seamless, personalised and memorable guest experience.  You will qualify leads from varying sources to ascertain business potential for groups and events for The Store. With the Director of Sales, identify potential sources of new business (rooms, food & beverage, spa and events) by analysing evidence of buyer activity in competitor hotels, trade directories, sales leads and proactive research. Arrange site inspections for prospective clients and prospect business. Issue contracts and proforma invoices upon successful negotiation, including the calculation of deposits and understanding cancellation policies.

Pro-actively follow up on all prospect and tentative bookings, keeping the Director of Sales informed as to the progress of all bookings. To be fully conversant with the hotels Unique Selling Points, history, product, special rates and promotions and all possible configurations of all sellable functions spaces.

To have a comprehensive understanding of our competitive set of hotels to ensure competitive awareness.

Liaise and build strong, positive working relationships with all departments and external suppliers. This role is varied and no day is the same.

 Previous experience in sales in particular in a hotel setting will be essential, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong understanding of customer preferences are essential. Experience of using Opera and Delphi are essential.
