OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Sales Executive role reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing. In this role the candidate is responsible for all proactive sales to the GM&E market and shares responsibility for achieving annual budget in both segments.  Included in the role are set targets for weekly proactive sales activities and events including direct sales.

EXPECTATIONS

The Sales Executive - Groups, Meetings & Events is expected to:

  • Always maintain a consistently professional demeanour. 
  • Represent NoMad London positively in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Always adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health & Safety policies, HR guidelines and compliance trainings.
  •  Effectively manage workload and responsibilities with efficiency. 
  • Foster clear and effective communication within the team, across departments and between both hotels and management. 
  • Champion our company values and foster a positive and collaborative approach across all departments.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Sales Executive - Groups, Meetings & Events are summarised below, the list is not exhaustive:

  • Conduct 8 face-to-face sales calls per week after an initial induction of 4 weeks. 
  • Ensure all activities are updated in Sales force following all sales activities
  • Sales targets will be aligned to Groups budget of £1,367,155 and Meetings & Events budget of £4,100,158

  • reate and build regional sales trip calendar as directed by Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Attend and represent NoMad London at tradeshows, roadshows, on-site and off-site events and Fam trips as directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing    
  • Attend industry events and networking events specific to the Group, Meeting & Events segment.
  • Create an Annual Sales activity action plan to assist achieving Sales targets
  • Travel as required both in the UK and overseas for roadshows, sales missions and trade shows
  • Respond in a timely manner to internal and external sales emails or requests and help as needed
  • Attending hotel meetings as required not limited to DD, weekly sales meeting, daily line up, budget review
  • Create reports as requested by Director of Sales & Marketing to support weekly and end-of-the-month reporting
  • Convert business and upselling additional products at contract stage (e.g. higher room categories; drinks receptions; enhanced F&B offerings etc.).
  • Work with HWS teams to ensure maximum exposure and secure business from Hilton managed accounts

Client partnerships and relationship management

  • Maintain close relationships with key clients both in local and international markets.
  • Maintain contact with managed clients while in house during group execution. 

  • Detail orientated and building relationships through personalised communication.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments or functions (Operations, Front Office, F&B, etc.).

Travel and client relationship management

  • Attend selected trade shows, sales missions, travel functions, as outlined in the sales travel schedule or as directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Organise and execute familiarization site inspection and trips with clients.
